The bays of Mille Lacs, with area forestlands, rivers, smaller lakes and wetlands, provide substantial natural habitat for plants and animals alike. From water lilies to yellow moccasins, deciduous to coniferous forests, a diversity of wildlife abounds. This is one of the largest lakes in Minnesota, encompassing 132,510 acres and 76 miles of shoreline.
