Release immediately all walleye 18" thru
28"
Possession limit is 4, with only one over 28"
Northern Pike:
Release immediately all from 24" through 36"
Possession limit is 3, only 1 over 36". No spearing.
Smallmouth
Bass:
Release immediately all less than 21"
Possession limit is 1
Tullibee
(Northern Cisco): Bag limit is 10.
Other
Species: Follow statewide regulations.
No Culling.
Night
Closure: No one may fish for any species or possess
fishing gear on the lake from 10:00 pm thru 6:00 am starting at
10:00 pm May 11 and ending at 12:01 am June 8.
If regulations change they will be posted at public accesses or check with the
Portside Bait & Liquor or your local resorts.

Things To Do
ATVing - Riders of all levels will enjoy the
ATV trails in our area. The Soo Line Trail stretches over 100
miles. Experience the Red Top Loop - rugged terrain, peaceful
woods, picnic area and so much more! Expansion of the trails is
in the planning stages.
Biking, Hiking & Rollerblading - Hike, Bike,
Walk or Roll through the forests, farmland and wetlands which
surround the resort. The Soo Line Trail is 18 miles of paved
path perfect for biking and skating. Bike and/or hike the state
parks or the wildlife management area.
Bird & Wildlife Watching - Our area is home to
a myriad of birds & mammals, including hawks, eagles, loons,
migrating swans, pileated woodpeckers, numerous songbirds, owls,
beaver, otter, raccoons, mink and deer, just to name a few. The
bays of Mille Lacs, with area forestlands, rivers, smaller lakes
and wetlands, provide substantial natural habitat for plants and
animals alike. From water lilies to yellow moccasins, deciduous
to coniferous forests, a diversity of wildlife abounds. This is
one of the largest lakes in Minnesota, encompassing 132,510
acres and 76 miles of shoreline. In conjunction with the
thousands of acres of undeveloped woods and wetland surrounding
it, the area provides choice wildlife watching.
Golfing - Try one or all three golf courses in
the area.
Fiddlestix Golf Course is just 3 miles away and is a neatly
manicured 6,200 yard, par 71 course. Layout is designed to
challenge both the novice and proficient player, making it a
golfing experience everyone can enjoy and afford.
Izaty's Championship Golf Course is the only course in Minnesota
designed by the Dye golf course architects. This 36 hole course
offers The Sanctuary - 72 par, 6,646 yards long and Black Brook
- 6,867 yards, par 72. Located approx. 7 miles from the resort.
Mille Lacs Lake Golf Resort is an 18 hole, 6,309 yard, par 71
course carved through hardwood forest. Located approximately 29
miles from Scenic Bay Resort.
Hunting - Hunters seeking waterfowl and
Canadian geese,
ruffed grouse and woodcock, as well as whitetail deer
and bear find great rewards.
Snowmobiling - You'll find a snowmobiling
wonderland with over 500 miles of trails that criss-cross and
interconnect with other parts of the state. Local snowmobile
clubs groom hundreds of miles of trails each year. Ride the Soo
Line Trail from Genola to Duluth. Both state parks have trails
as well. Snowmobile maps available at the resort or local
businesses.
State Parks - Enjoy the presence of two
extraordinary state parks and the many recreational and
educational services provided. The intimate 318-acre Father
Hennepin State Park entrance lies 3 blocks from the resort and
offers camping, picnicking, hiking and snowmobile trails, a
wonderful sandy swimming beach, fishing pier and boat launch.
Mille Lacs Kathio State Park is located 14 miles from the resort
on the southwest side of the lake. It includes nearly 10,000
acres of rolling hills with rich vegetation and a variety of
wildlife. The parks 100-foot observation tower offers a
spectacular view of the entire area. The park offers camping,
picnicking, boat, canoe, ski and snowshoe rentals as well as
hiking, cross-country ski and snowmobile trails.

Spring crappies, summertime walleye, perch, northern pike,
smallmouth bass
and muskie. Don't forget ice fishing for walleye, northern
and perch.
